Wednesday was unsettling for some stock investors. The S&P 500 fell 3.29%, logging its worst one-day loss since February. Nasdaq sank more than 4%. Tech stocks were especially bruised.
But gutsy investors weren't unsettled by the sell-off; instead, they were energized by the opportunities they might uncover. After all, if a company was fundamentally appealing before a sell-off and nothing has changed with those fundamentals, that company is even more attractive after its stock price falls.
